Yoga wellness experience – in Peloponnese.

We will use Yoga to activate the sensitivity of the body, and Tai Chi to guide you into connecting with nature and others. You’ll be part of a small group seeking inner peace and the tools to listen to their inner self, observe, and expand their awareness. Kayaking, Hiking, and Archery are practices that will highlight the meditative, but also playful aspects to enhance the overall experience.

Our two experienced instructors, Anastasia Xidis, (Tai Chi) and Antonis Fragkakis, (Yoga), have devoted their lives perfecting their craft and lead their groups with love, expertise, safety and compassion. Join us for a memorable uplifting experience that will rejuvenate your body and elevate your soul and mind.

Classes

Tai Chi:

An ancient Chinese martial art is a physical exercise and a practical system of maintaining health and well-being. Classes are opened for everybody, independently of physical conditions. It doesn’t require an intense level of energetic output or special muscular power. Age is not an obstacle.

The one-hour class includes stretching exercises that are designed to release the body from tension and restlessness, the rhythmic breathing patterns of the Chi Kung, and also a more dynamic part with some martial applications, which help to revitalize the musculature and the organs. This is a good way to start the day! At the end of the class, you will feel energetic, peaceful and in harmony.

Yoga:

Our yoga style will be Iyengar Yoga, which is a holistic experience that benefits the body, mind and soul. We are going to use different props such as chairs, blocks, belts, blankets, in order to move into different asanas with safety for different body types.

In Iyengar Yoga, we tailor a different sequence each time to cover the needs of each group and each individual. Iyengar is synonymous to therapeutic yoga, meaning that during our practice we can deal with possible injuries, modify the asanas accordingly and use them to help recovery.

Pranayama:

We’ll be using breathing exercises known as pranayama in yoga, targeting on improving the elasticity of the lungs. Viloma, in particular, is an interrupted breathing technique where you pause briefly during inhalation and exhalation.

Meditation:

Meditation is an important practice that is approached by all the above modalities. However, sitting still for a period of time is a valuable tool in our everyday life. In this program, we are going to use Samantha, which is observing the manifestation of breathing in our bodies. Yoga wellness. 

Meals:

Meals are vegetarian except for the last dinner. The plates and smoothies are designed to detoxify the body and the internal organs, rejuvenate and energize the body. We are exclusively using locally grown ingredients from the Arcadian soil provided by local producers in the area. Our aim to provide healthy light meals for our participants, based on traditional recipes Greece’s Mediterranean cuisine.

Created 2500 years ago, Traditional Thai massage is historically related to India, Buddhism and yoga. Working the meridians by acupressure and stretching, while bringing the patient into applied hatha-yoga postures, can treat the whole body.

Thai massage promotes health and well-being. It has a double purpose, preventive and therapeutic. It activates the free flow of energy, improves internal organs mobility, digestion, breathing capacity, body posture, flexibility, releases nervous tensions and cures lots of pathologies (lower or upper back pain, insomnia, nervous imbalance…). Thai massage is done on the floor, without using oil and with a dressed patient and lasts 1 to 2 hrs upon request.

is a practice that uses a gentle light touch to contact deeper structures within the body and improve the cranial wave. While coordinating the flow of cerebrospinal fluid between basin, heart and skull, relieves pain areas anywhere in the body. Created at the end of the 19th century in the U.S. by Dr Sutherland.

The therapist uses presence, stillness and sensitivity to connect to the patient. By deep listening and touching, the therapist observes how and what moves, what is not moving, where is the trauma. The client’s system slows down, unwinds and makes the necessary adjustments to heal. Craniosacral Therapy facilitates the individual to calm, to reconnect with the sacred space within him, and through that area to activate the deepest self-healing mechanisms of his body. It lasts 1hr and patient is dressed.

Is particularly useful in releasing tension that is held in the area of the internal organs. In other words, stress, worry, critic, anger, fear, shock… are stored in the belly and consequently the rest of the organism is affected. The abdominal massage is useful in releasing cramps, knots, scars, accidents, back pain and other imbalances.

By receiving Chi Nei Tsang one can energize, strengthen and detoxify the internal organ system and feel a new openness in the belly, mind and heart. It lasts 50min, there is the use of oil in the belly area, and only the area of the belly is not covered by clothes.
